SkaterBoi & Music

February 25th, 2011 No comments

My days of skateboarding is over..i guess?Although i had some thought to start over again with this hobby. Lots of things happen when i skate, basically it change my life…thats also the reason why my nickname is izmalsk8 (skate).

I started skateboarding around 1997 (i think?) with the influence from my friends. Those were the days where you want to stay as a teenager & not grow old.

With tag line such as “Skateboarding is not a crime..thats what we kept in mind whenever we skate illegally at malls,markets,street,curb,rails..anywhere that is skateable. We were chased by police, guards & sometimes pedestrian who is angry coz we vandalized their place & make noises with our boards. We were kids(duuhh)..or trying to be at that moment. Komtar was the spot where we skate during the weekend while Mutiara Court near kampung kastam on weekdays. I even when to school riding my skateboard..so what?its cheap ok…cost me, sweat & stinky smell..hehe.i kept my board at the canteen(thanks apek kantin) because we arent allowed to bring out boards to class.

Penang skate scene starts at Perangin Road..its a small deserted road in middle of town, kids use that road to put ramp, rails and funbox to skate there. They gathered, talk(lepak) & skate…i was not into skateboarding that time, im more of a grunge (nirvana, greenday) kindda kid..somehow,my friends introduce this sports to me..i was so pumped up & start borrowing boards..slip down with lots of attempts just to skate. At that time, we have no skate videos or someone to lookup for doing skate tricks.yup!we learn by ourself…i remember flicking my board and learn kickflip with friends guide. During that period, Padin was among of the talented skaters in town..we learn tricks from him. As my skaterboarding skills evolved(macam la terer sgt)..my genre of music changes as well..im into punkrock & hardcore music.

Underground/Hardcore scene in Penang is called GTHC (georgetown hardcore), Kuala Lumpur with KLHC, while Johor have their JBHC & Ipoh got something HC (totaly forgot?chemorHC?hahaha ~)  Bands like Chronic Mass, Basic Rights, I Against I, Social Cure, NET, Reprisal, Projekt AK, Another Side, NOP, Slap Jaw,Disaster Funhouse..etc. were TOP in the 90′s. Gigs are held everywhere & we (me & friends) would go support even buy demo tapes(cassets) & zine. Zine is a cut off a magaZINE..its a small a5 printed DIY stuff with underground information.(kindda like a blogging at the era)

end of part 1..to be continue ~

bodycountED

January 28th, 2011 No comments

Thank God this game is almost done & its in the final stages (alpha). From racing games to first person, this is a really good experience for me. Bodycount is powered by the EGO engine version 2.0…which also used in Dirt 3, Operation Flashpoint: Red River & Race Driver: Grid 2 this year.

Codemasters is knows for its racing games capabilities & stunning graphics/gameplay..~ there are a lots of good FPS games out there, but somehow bodycount looks promising.
i really hope it can stand tall with the other big first person shooter games in the market.

BODYCOUNT – the game:

Bodycount rips apart the first person shooter as genre-defining gunplay comes alive in a balletic orgy of bullets and destruction.

Experience the intense thrill of close-quarters combat in a shreddable world as Bodycount blasts outrageous fire-fights and ferocious action from both barrels.  Become a powerful combat asset green-lighted to eliminate enemies known only as ‘Targets’ on behalf of the ‘Network’, ensnared in a clandestine global power struggle that rages away from the headlines and under the cover of conventional war zones.

This exhilarating shooter drops players into chaotic areas of operations equipped with a mouth-watering selection of contemporary weapons to tear through environments and enemies, chaining kills, earning power ups and building up a bullet meter to unleash devastating air strikes on enemies.

Complimented by co-operative online play and multiplayer modes, Bodycount will set new standards for spectacular, visceral gun play and put the fun back into the FPS.

Hatsune Miku fever

Arigato ~ mushi mushi aci wa wak

Lately,im into Japanese songs..actually Hatsune Miku (初音ミク) is a singing synthesizer application and its female character. At first, they(the developer) wanted to promote the synthesizer with a girl character on the cover..somehow the girl got famous. The amazing thing is..this synthesizer allow users to make songs and

her voice was created by Vocaloid; taking vocal samples projected from a keyboard. ( i think?) One of my favourite song is ‘World is mine’..it makes me feel like im flying & scream like a cute japanese girl..aauuuww!! :P
i think music in the future will evolve & our kids will listen to tunes that are like..’tu tu tutut tut’ crap…and they call that music!huh!lady gaga will be in the history book for sure ~

hayaku..hatsune miku ~ watashi like you!

p/s : 2011 seems a year of changes for me(a wakeup call),a start of drastic & for big stuff to come..~ enjoy the video!!

Malaysian Football

December 31st, 2010 No comments

166627_480067597869_562717869_5531677_282750_nI have always been a football fan since i was a kid..my achievement was representing my school, club & Penang way back in high school days. After that, i only play football in a small field/pitch..called futsal.
Ive been playing futsal ever since..entered couple of competition, get into fights, the joy & humiliation..just love this sports. It like making out with a 17 years old girl (i donno how that feel?trust me)
Basically, its fun for me..a stress relief & spend time with friends who loves the game.
On the 26th December 2010, i decided to go and watch football at Stadium Nasional, Bukit Jalil with a couple of friends. Its the AFF Cup first leg Finals between Malaysia & Indonesia.(keep wondering why must they have 2 leg for the Final?)I bought the tickets on Friday morning but they started selling it Thursday..i thought its no harm buying it late because local football is not that popular anymore…guess what?i tried to buy the RM50..it was finished on the morning the counter opens. So,whats left is RM30..ok lah..~

26th December, Bukit Jalil National Stadium.5pm..Me & Jia Shyan(a colleague) went to the stadium riding my motorbike because it was jammed pack that time. Upon arriving, we looked for parking space but without noticing..We went pass a crowd of Indonesian fans.(We were at the opponent entrance.yikes!) Then, found a parking spot. We  meet up our Indonesian friend; Aswin through the crowded stadium. We ate near the foodcourt before went it around 6pm..somehow,i need to take a leak before we went in the stadium. The que was so long…its like lining up for a lottery ticket. After that, we went in with our horns & making lots of noises. Seats are not filled yet but still people starts making noise like the game is about to start at anytime…but guess what, the game starts at 8pm..so, we sat there making noise honking (blow our horns) & looking at wave of people..the wait is excruciating..even the kickoff wisel cant be heard because too much noise (more than 80 thousand people in the stadium). First half, not much action..second half was the best. Goals keep coming after another..it should have been 4 or more. The funny part is, whenever the Malaysia team scored a goal..we were screaming & hugging people around us with joy..hey, even i throw away my horn & hug the guy infront of me because i was so ecstatic ..Malaysia won 3 – 0 that night. The only person who is not celebrating the goals is Aswin (an indonesian fan ‘lost’). When the game finish..i think the hardest part was going out from the stadium in one piece. They(people) were pushing & uncivilized while  making their way out..how rude! In the end..it was a nice memory & will be remembered :)

Congratulations to Malaysia for being the winner of AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 (after 14 years waiting).. & we got public holiday because of you guys :) yey!

MALAYSIA BOLEH!next..World Cup.. :P

what a way to end the year…~so,see you next year. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!!

Hospital & Me

November 12th, 2010 No comments

physio therapyStarted out in fasting month..i twisted my knee during my usual futsal sparing..when it happen,i can hear a cracking sound from my knee..its like poping out or something. What i fear is a broken joint..without any doubt,i tried twisting back my knee back in & it does ease the pain..a bit.
In the end, i get over the pain in a couple of days..well,not exactly..the pain keeps on coming..been in & out of clinic but doctors still think its a normal hamstring or ligament torn..duh!?
In 2007,i used to be hospitalized at Pantai Medical Hospital after i played futsal for my company that time(Open University Malaysia). My team won that competition but it cost me treatment to my knee for PCL injury. Well, pcl is cure-able by just doing physio therapy..now my knee injury is ACL which is much worst & the only way to cure it is by surgery..then lots of physio therapy.sissh!?
1st november 2010,i was admitted at Pantai Medical Hospital for that ACL surgery. Morning checked in my ward, do all the blood test & checkup…around 5pm i was bused & did’nt have any memory during surgery.
When i woke up,im was on my way to my room. Somehow i vomit afterward because of nausea.
The next morning,i was bath(wipe) by 2 nurses & took a long ‘nature call’ (pee) by just using a pee cup thingie..(urine bowl)
Then rest of the days, going to the rehab center for intense physio therapy..
Now, Im at home writing this blog through my iphone 4..lying down with my knee wrap with brace & crutches.

P/s: im getting used with this crutches..~

GAME: F1 2010

October 8th, 2010 No comments

F1 2010 is being created using Codemasters’ EGO Engine technology, which most recently powered the BAFTA award-winning Race Driver: GRID.

The first Formula One game to take advantage of high definition consoles and PC platforms, F1 2010 is the official game of the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship and includes all of the official teams, drivers and circuits from the 2010 season. The game features the return of seven times Formula 1 Drivers’ World Champion Michael Schumacher, the introduction of several new teams, and the brand new Korean International Circuit that host the 2010 Formula 1 Korean Grand Prix.

In F1 2010 gamers will take on the full, expanded grid in a variety of game modes including Grand Prix, Championship, Time Trial and an extensive, innovative Career mode. F1 2010 also features a highly advanced damage model, fully dynamic weather system and extensive competitive multiplayer options. The game was developed using the EGO Game Technology Platform, Codemasters’ proprietary tech that powered the critically acclaimed, million-plus selling Colin McRae: DiRT 2 and Race Driver: GRID. The award-winning technology has been further developed to accurately recreate the unique aerodynamics and handling of 200MPH+ Formula 1 cars

I have worked on GRID, DIRT2 & latest addition is F1 2010..eventho KL studios mostly were not mention in any reviews or news..we did contribute to the game ~ still this is an achievement for our team. Bodycount & DiRT 3 is still in progress..~

F1 2010 reviewed from gametrailer is 8.6..while GRiD got a 9.2  & DiRT 2  9.1 ~

Changes?

May 18th, 2010 No comments

No..im not going to make a sex change (if thats what you guys are thinking =p)..basically, changes what im implying is changes that happened, might happen or even going to happen..in LIFE..
I knw i havent been update this blog for ages..well months. Why?coz im to freakin busy with work and other stuff..duuhh ~ im going for some changes i guess? every each step that we take counts..coz it will endup by what we choose from the beginning..so drastic changes should be made to avoid regret. just stick to what u have and hold to it coz that is what u choose to be…am i making any sense?i thought so too… =p
Its either good or bad, u make it happen, work for it..u cant blame situation or others when u start those change.
Few changes that i meant is like..workload is getting huge..datelines.change of environment.personal life issues….and more. Its either try to make a change, achieving a change or conquering a change. To change or not to change?that is the question…~ dare to change?
